Jordi Vilardell extended his lead in the 2026 Andorran Mountain Automobile Championship (CAAM) with victory in the fourth round, the La Peguera hillclimb on the CS-141 in Sant Julià de Lòria.
Driving the Nova NP03, Vilardell set the pace from the start, recording 1:49.13 in the first run and 1:49.65 in the second. No competitor matched those times, allowing him to skip the third run and secure the win. The result added 26 points to his tally, lifting him to 104 at the top of the standings.
The event drew 39 drivers and large crowds despite looming rain that failed to materialize, keeping conditions dry.
Joan Gil posed the closest threat in the Silver Car S3 EVO. He claimed the third run with a 2:00.04 to finish second overall on 25 points, narrowing the gap to nine points behind Vilardell.
Gerard de la Casa rounded out the podium in the Ford Fiesta WRC. His 2:06.22 in the fourth and final run earned him 23 points and kept him third in the championship on 90.
Mikel Azcona showed strong form in the Hyundai Elantra N TCR, taking third in the last session for 16 points.
Edgar Montellà placed 11th overall and sixth in Group 5, while Erik Faura ended ninth and third in Group 4.
The CAAM resumes in September at Beixalís.
