Jordi Vilardell strengthened his lead in the 2026 Andorran Mountain Automobile Championship (CAAM) by winning the fourth round at the La Peguera hillclimb on Saturday.

Piloting the Nova NP03, Vilardell delivered a commanding display on the CS-141 road in Sant Julià de Lòria, securing maximum points and 26 more in the standings. The event attracted 39 entrants and substantial crowds along the course, with dry conditions prevailing despite rain threats that kept the atmosphere charged.

Vilardell grabbed the lead from the outset, clocking the quickest times in the opening two runs at 1:49.13 and 1:49.65. No one else came close to those benchmarks. He sat out the third run, relying on his strong start to clinch the win.

Joan Gil, driving a Silver Car S3 EVO, mounted the strongest challenge. He topped the third session with a 2:00.04 and took second place overall on 25 points.

Gerard de la Casa completed the podium in a Ford Fiesta WRC, posting his best mark in the fourth run to earn 23 points.

Mikel Azcona impressed in a Hyundai Elantra N TCR, building pace across sessions to claim third in the finale and pick up 16 points.

Vilardell now leads with 104 points, followed by Gil on 95 and De la Casa on 90. The series continues in September at Beixalís.
