Andorra's Aaron Ganal Leaves MoraBanc for More Playing Time Abroad

MoraBanc Andorra has confirmed the departure of Aaron Ganal, its only Andorran first-team player, ahead of the 2026-2027 season as the young guard seeks more prominent minutes overseas.

The 18-year-old, who joined the club at age five, advanced through its youth system before a period in FC Barcelona's junior setup, where he earned MVP honours in a Minicopa preliminary phase. He returned to MoraBanc in 2022 after debuting at 17 in Spain's Lliga EBA with Barça. The club then arranged loans in LEB Plata—now Segona FEB—to Talavera in 2022-23 and CB Benicarló in 2023-24 to aid his growth.

Ganal integrated into the Liga Endesa—also known as ACB—first team in August 2024. He debuted on 12 October 2024 against Leyma Coruña at Pavelló Toni Martí, appearing in 12 matches total. His stats reflected limited opportunities: averages of three minutes per game, 0.8 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 valuation.

This move marks the end of his second stint at the tricolour club, with Ganal pursuing fresh challenges to continue developing. His destination remains undisclosed.

MoraBanc's statement thanked him for years of dedication and wished him luck in his new phase, stressing that the club would always be his home.
