Andorra's Aaron Ganal Leaves MoraBanc for More Playing Time Abroad

MoraBanc Andorra has parted ways with Aaron Ganal ahead of the 2026-2027 season, as the Andorran guard seeks greater playing time and career progression outside the Principality.

The 18-year-old escorta, who began his basketball journey at the tricolour club aged five, progressed through its youth ranks before a stint in FC Barcelona's academy. He rejoined MoraBanc in summer 2022 following his debut at 17 in Spain's Lliga EBA with Barça. The club supported his development with successive loans in LEB Plata—now Segona FEB—to Talavera in 2022-23 and CB Benicarló in 2023-24.

MoraBanc brought him into the Liga Endesa first-team squad in August 2024 as its only Andorran player. Ganal made his top-flight debut on 12 October 2024 against Leyma Coruña, going on to feature in 12 matches overall. His limited minutes there—averaging 3:38 per game, 0.8 points, 0.6 assists and 60% free-throw accuracy—prompted the move abroad.

The departure ends a lifelong link with MoraBanc, where recent loans had built his experience before first-team integration. His next club has not been revealed.

In its farewell statement, the club expressed gratitude for "tots aquests anys de treball i compromís" and wished him "molta sort en aquesta nova etapa", adding that "el BC MoraBanc Andorra sempre serà la teva casa".
