Mutic and Aquino Unveiled as MoraBanc Andorra's New ACB Signings

MoraBanc Andorra unveiled forwards Lazar Mutic and Owen Aquino as key signings for the 2026/2027 Liga Endesa season during a press event at Andorra Telecom's Node facilities.

Sporting director Jordi Ardèvol introduced the pair as priority targets, emphasising their ambition, relentless drive and team-first mentality. Both players, who share early training roots in Real Madrid's youth setup, expressed comfort in Andorra and enthusiasm for their ACB debuts after distinct career paths.

Mutic, a Bosnian interior with experience across European leagues, brings versatility to the squad. Ardèvol called him a "force of nature" capable of guarding multiple positions while impacting offence through rebounds and transition play. The forward said reaching Liga Endesa had long been a career target. "I always aimed to arrive and play in the ACB. Now I'm here and must make the most of the chance the club has given me," he noted. After initial preseason sessions and a friendly match, Mutic stressed the need to keep building team cohesion. "We have time, we're working well and must give our best in every training," he added.

Aquino, a Dominican-origin wing entering his first professional campaign after four US college seasons, impressed Ardèvol with innate qualities like intuition, explosiveness and shooting touch—traits he said cannot be taught. Aquino described the opportunity as a personal milestone. "Any player who leaves Spain dreams of the ACB, and debuting with this club is a privilege," he stated. He praised returning teammates including captain Rafa and Aaron Best for easing the newcomers' integration and fostering chemistry. "We all share this hunger to compete, and I think that will be the most important thing," Aquino said, vowing to play at full intensity from day one.

Andorra Telecom client director David Baró attended, linking the firm's sponsorship to "connectivity" on the court and urging the duo to bond with fans in a basketball-passionate nation.

Ardèvol also provided an update on Kostadinov, noting a failed US university move due to NCAA issues had led to a loan for minutes, with plans for his return next season. "He's one of ours," he affirmed.
