FC Andorra Edges Granada 3-2 to Snap Five-Game Losing Streak

FC Andorra secured a 3-2 victory at Granada's Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium, ending a five-match losing streak with a gritty performance under coach Carles Manso.

Jordi Cano starred on his first start, netting both of his goals—his fourth and fifth of the season—for the visitors, while Marc Domènech added the third. The result lifted Andorra clear of the relegation zone ahead of their next match at Sabadell.

Manso deployed a back three featuring Alende, Spatz, and Bomba, with Carrique advancing on the right and a tight midfield anchored by Hugo Solozábal. Nacho Quintana linked up top with Cano, and Pau López stood in for the absent Owono in goal. The setup shifted to a pragmatic 3-5-2, prioritizing duels over possession.

Andorra struck first in the seventh minute when Quintana slipped a pass to Cano, who drilled a low shot past Raúl Lizoain. Granada responded with pressure from Manu Lama's attempts and Rodelas' long-range and set-piece threats, but the defense held firm.

Post-match, Cano credited the collective effort. "We've shown a team that won many duels. Credit to the squad for standing firm against Granada—staying united when it hurts," he said. The 31-year-old former Europa striker, last season's Primera RFEF top scorer with 25 goals, has four goals and an assist in five professional outings. "I'm motivated to eat up the pitch and pass that on to my teammates. The key is the three points to shift the dynamic—I'm sure we'll climb now."

Manso hailed Cano as a "silent leader" whose strikes were no fluke, while urging realism in the long Hypermotion League campaign. "Every team hits streaks—we've broken ours. Keep feet on the ground," the forward added, emphasizing the "spectacular group."
