Ordino Reschedules Cota 1.300 Après-Ski to Late February 2027

The Ordino parish council will shift its Cota 1.300 après-ski event to 2027, focusing activities from late February through Easter week.

Jordi Serracanta, councillor for Tourism, Promotion, and Sports, announced the change in statements to the Andorran News Agency. He said the decision followed this season's trial, when organizers moved the start to January to prolong the program after the previous February launch. Yet persistent bad weather and short days kept crowds away.

From late February, Serracanta noted, daylight stretches longer, encouraging skiers and visitors to linger for the evening lineup after their runs. "The day starts to lengthen," he said, making it more appealing to stay on for the activities.

Despite the adjustment, the councillor highlighted keen interest from local businesses in setting up stalls and spaces at Cota 1.300. Ordino's compact size allows such swift tweaks, aligning with its strategy to bolster events like Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB, Nit de la Candela, Nits Obertes, and Fira del Bestiar. These draw crowds during quieter periods and from across Andorra.
