Ordino Arcalís and Grandvalira Offer Free Mountain Access on Meritxell Day

Andorra's Ordino Arcalís and Grandvalira ski resorts will offer free access to key mountain attractions on Meritxell Day, September 8.

Ordino Arcalís will grant complimentary rides on the Tristaina cable car and Creussans chairlift to diners with reservations at restaurants in the Ordino parish. This marks the fifth year of the initiative. Participating establishments must inform the resort of visitor names and group sizes in advance. Guests can pick up vouchers at the Hortell ticket offices by 3pm, with the last ascent at 3:30pm. Operations run from 8:30am to 5pm for the cable car and 8:45am to 4:40pm for the chairlift, providing access to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint.

Meanwhile, Grandvalira's Funicamp funicular in Encamp will provide free rides to all visitors throughout the day. This coincides with its final day of summer service. Riders can enjoy the new 'Petjades Enlairades' sculpture by Ossa d’Encamp, e-bike trails, or meals at El Racó de Solanelles restaurant.

Most Grandvalira summer activities will continue until September 13, with the Soldeu golf course extending to September 27. The Pal Arinsal Bike Park will operate on weekends through October 12, while Tristaina Solar Viewpoint access remains available until November 1.
