Andorra's Ordino Arcalís and Grandvalira ski resorts will celebrate Meritxell Day on September 8 by offering free entry to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint and the Funicamp funicular.
The Ordino Arcalís event marks its fifth edition, with the same setup as in previous years. Diners who reserve at restaurants in the Ordino parish will gain complimentary access to the Tristaina cable car and Creussans chairlift, leading to the solar viewpoint. Restaurants will notify the resort of visitor names and group sizes. Participants must collect vouchers at the Hortell ticket offices by 3pm, as the final ascent is at 3:30pm. The cable car will operate from 8:30am to 5pm, and the chairlift from 8:45am to 4:40pm.
Grandvalira's Funicamp in Encamp will provide free rides all day, marking its last summer operation. Visitors can explore the new 'Petjades Enlairades' sculpture by Ossa d’Encamp, Grandvalira e-bike routes, or dining at El Racó de Solanelles restaurant. The Funicamp will close first among Grandvalira's summer activities. Other resort offerings will continue until September 13, except the Soldeu golf course, which runs to September 27. The Pal Arinsal Bike Park will remain open on weekends through October 12, and Tristaina Solar Viewpoint access will last until November 1.
