Andorra Men's Trials Team Climbs to 7th at Nations Trial in Galicia

Andorra's men's motorcycle trials team secured seventh place out of 16 nations in the International Trophy at the Trial of the Nations in Arteixo, Galicia, improving on last year's 11th position with a total of 104 points. The result placed them nine points behind sixth-placed Austria.

Quim Altés, Edgar García and Jordi Lestang rode two laps across 15 zones. They finished ahead of Ireland, Australia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal and Luxembourg. Norway won the men's category, ahead of Germany, Japan, the United States, Sweden and Austria.

Rain in the second lap complicated efforts to climb higher. Joan-Patrick Lasmolles, president of the Andorran Motorcycling Federation, highlighted the progress. He noted a competitive first lap but weather setbacks, saying the team fought for sixth place. "As president, I'm very proud of the result because we've improved a lot from last year and the team has behaved excellently."

In the women's category, Èlia Pascuet and Alèxia Lladó scored 275 points for eighth and last place. Great Britain claimed victory with seven points, followed by Italy (14) and Spain (50). The women also faced rain on the final lap.
