Andorra Men's Trials Team Climbs to 7th at Nations Trial in Galicia

Andorra's men's motorcycle trials team placed seventh out of 16 nations in the International Trophy category at the Trial of the Nations in Arteixo, Galicia, marking a clear step up from last year's 11th position. The women's team finished eighth.

Quim Altés, Edgar García and Jordi Lestang tallied 104 points across two laps of 15 zones, finishing nine points behind sixth-placed Austria. They outperformed teams from Ireland, Australia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal and Luxembourg. Rain during the second lap made conditions tougher, hampering a push for a higher finish.

Joan-Patrick Lasmolles, president of the Andorran Motorcycling Federation, praised the men's performance. "We fought throughout the trial to end up sixth," he said, adding that a strong first lap gave way to weather challenges. "As president, I'm very proud of the result because we've improved a lot from last year and the team has behaved excellently."

Norway claimed the men's title, with Germany, Japan, the United States, Sweden and Austria rounding out the top six.

In the women's event, Èlia Pascuet and Alèxia Lladó scored 275 points for eighth place, also affected by the second-lap rain. Great Britain took gold with seven points, ahead of Italy (14) and Spain (50).
