FC Andorra's Domènech Rejects Crisis Talk After Five Straight Losses

FC Andorra midfielder Marc Domènech has rejected suggestions of a crisis at the club following five consecutive defeats, insisting the dressing room remains convinced it can turn the situation around.

The Catalan player, a La Masia product, admitted the team is in a poor run of form but stressed the group's ongoing motivation and belief in its work. Speaking ahead of Saturday's 16:15 away game at Granada, Domènech highlighted the side's strengths in possession and chance creation under owner Gerard Piqué and coach Jaume Nogués, while pinpointing issues in both penalty areas. "We are one of the teams that generates the most and holds the ball the most, but we're struggling to score—needing to produce a lot for the ball to go in—and conceding goals that are too easy," he said.

Domènech defended sticking with the team's established style rather than making wholesale changes. "We have a very marked style and I trust this idea a lot," he explained, adding that the solution lies in persistence, fine-tuning weak details, and allowing time for new signings to adapt. He recently returned to the starting XI during the loss to Sporting de Gijón and feels ready to solidify midfield. The league's length offers hope, he noted: better to face such a spell early rather than around matchday 30.

Granada, managed by José Rojo Martín—known as Pacheta—and including ex-Andorra forward Pau Casadesús, poses a stern test. "Every match is tough, but we're going for the win," Domènech said.

Meanwhile, FC Andorra Genuine, the club's inclusive squad led by Montse Sánchez and Ion Jauregui, has started pre-season at the Margineda sports complex. The team is gearing up for LaLiga Genuine, the inclusion tournament run with LaLiga's foundation. Tarragona hosts the first phase, with dates pending; last year's fifth edition featured 50 teams and over 1,400 players, fostering inclusion and cohesion.
