A mass brawl during a second-tier Andorran football match between Atlètic Amèrica and FS La Massana has resulted in 36 matches of suspension for the eight players sent off, the Andorran Football Federation (FAF) has confirmed. Two players received six-match bans and six others four matches each.
According to the FAF competition committee's published ruling, Aldo Rubén González of Atlètic Amèrica and Raúl José Magalhaes of La Massana received the heaviest punishments—six matches each—for assaulting another person. The remaining six players were suspended for four matches on the same grounds: Diego Fleita, Manuel Mena and Carlos David Vásquez of Atlètic Amèrica, and Alejandro Caso, Diego Rafael Marinho and Derrick Pachou of La Massana. The committee applied article 84 of the disciplinary regulations in every individual case.
La Massana delegate Óscar Carmona was additionally handed a one-match suspension for addressing referees, officials or sports authorities in injurious or contemptuous terms.
The committee also sanctioned CF Atlètic Amèrica as a club, holding it responsible for incidents classified as serious under article 62—an infringement that carries an accessory fine. The FAF's public consultation of the ruling does not specify the amount of the financial penalty.
The altercation broke out late in the fourth-round Lliga Grup Pirineu fixture at Borda Mateu, which La Massana won 2-1, when Atlètic Amèrica's Manuel Mena kicked the opposing goalkeeper as he moved to press him. A first fight spread across the pitch and ended with four players sent off from each side. When the situation appeared to be under control, the incidents continued in the dressing-room area, requiring venue security and then a police patrol to intervene. No arrests were made.
Separately, the FAF committee awarded City Escaldes a 3-0 victory over La Massana in their opening-round match after upholding a complaint of fielding an ineligible player. La Massana had won 4-0 on the pitch, but the ruling overturned that result.
Despite the sanction, La Massana remains top of the table with nine points, now level with Sant Julià.
