Andorran mountain biker Oriol Pi concluded the 4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote with a seventh-place finish in the Elite category and eighth in the men's general classification.
The UCI C1 event on the Canary Islands spanned four days and represented Pi's comeback after health setbacks that had kept him out of regular competition. He delivered solid stage results: ninth on day one, eighth on day two, sixth on day three, and seventh on the final stage.
The consistent showing netted Pi 60 UCI ranking points, supporting his objectives for the season ahead. The Pyrenean rider expressed satisfaction with his recovery and performance.
"I'm really pleased to be back competing normally after some tough months with health problems," Pi said.
Pi now turns his attention to the Tramun Sea Otter Europe event on 20 September in Girona, with two weeks to prepare.
