Andorra to Host Toughest Titan World Series MTB Finale in 2027

Andorra will host the Creand Titan Mountain Andorra cycling event from 25 to 27 June 2027, as the fifth and final stage of the Titan World Series calendar. The multi-stage mountain bike race, organized by RPM Sports and Clayton Sport with support from Encamp council, Grandvalira and sponsor Creand, centers on Encamp parish and parts of Canillo.

The event features a prologue and two demanding stages of around 40 to 50 kilometres each, with 2,000 to 2,500 metres of positive elevation gain. Organizers position it as the series' most technical edition to date, a pure mountain challenge that tests riders' limits while upholding the format's focus on adventure, camaraderie and participant interaction rather than outright extremes. Detailed routes remain forthcoming.

Titan World Series director general Jon Iriondo described the Andorran stop as filling a key gap: "We lacked a pure mountain Titan." He noted its place alongside diverse venues like Morocco, Mexico, Almería and Patagonia, sharing the core values of "adventure, companionship and overcoming challenges—found in deserts, jungles, forests or mountains." The deal covers two years initially, with aims for four or five editions total.

A competitive e-bike category joins for the first time in the series, following the main parcours with possible safety adjustments, building on its non-competitive presence in events like Morocco and Almería.

Encamp's minor consul Xavier Fernández called the event transformative: "Titan doesn't just add—it multiplies." He highlighted its role in the parish's sports tourism push, with global visibility via DAZN and year-round appeal. RPM Sports CEO Santi Nolla labeled Andorra a "cycling paradise in Europe" and the project the "dream team of Titans." Clayton co-founder Higini Cierco praised the partnership, noting RPM's event expertise alongside local territorial knowledge for positive impact.

Grandvalira commercial director Jordi Galcerán expressed pride in hosting a brand offering "undisputable international projection." The launch Monday at Solanilles viewpoint in Encamp attracted around 50 people.

Participation will start modestly before scaling up, mirroring Almería's growth from 200 to nearly 600 riders. Event ambassador Joan Verdú, who has sampled sections, plans to race. Series veteran Ramon Aranda, with 21 finishes, also attended. Iriondo affirmed: "We only go to iconic places."
