Organizers of the eighth Dynafit Andorra Trail expect more than 500 runners from 17 countries to compete from October 9 to 11, with Plaça Coprínceps in Escaldes-Engordany serving as the central hub for starts and finishes.

The event combines city streets with rugged mountain paths over three stages. It begins Friday with the 5K Engordany prologue, a 5-kilometer course with 260 meters of elevation gain. Saturday's highlight, La Braibal, spans 25 kilometers and 1,890 meters of climb through the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley. Sunday concludes with La Palomera, a 17-kilometer route featuring 1,200 meters of ascent in the Palomera and Comella zones.

Escaldes-Engordany sports councillor Laura López pointed to the competition's broad impact, supporting hotels, restaurants, and retail while drawing attention to the parish's landscapes, thermal facilities, and attractions beyond core shopping areas.

The international field stands out, with 66.7% of registrants from abroad. French participation has grown sharply, now approaching Spanish levels through participant recommendations—roughly half the Spanish total. Current sign-ups show 38% entered for the two primary stages, 28% for the 5K, 15% for La Braibal, and 17% for La Palomera.

Standout entrants include Anna Ongaro, last year's Ultra Pirineu winner and recent victor at Trail Viella Molleres and Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB. She teams with Nicola Matkova, while Marco Lorenzo and Júlia Pérez compete as a mixed pair.

VSL Sports CEO Gerard Riart noted the downtown venue's appeal, enabling families and onlookers to engage with parish life during the races. Andorra Turisme's product and events director Enric Torres stressed expanding reach into markets like France, on top of Spanish and Catalan runners, with positive weather outlooks boosting prospects.
