Key Points

  • Single Scratch championship merges all results; points from top 4 of 5 rounds, 60-driver limit.
  • Promosport category for newcomers: front-wheel-drive cars up to 2002, naturally aspirated, road tyres.
  • Joves Pilots program relaunched to develop young local talent.
  • Five rounds on Andorran tracks starting with Arinsal double-header; docs at www.aca.ad.

The Automòbil Club d’Andorra (ACA) has published the sporting regulations, technical rules, and updated licensing requirements for the 2026 Andorra Mountain Motorsport Championship (CAAM), now posted on www.aca.ad. These changes kick off planning for a refreshed season aimed at broadening participation.

A major update creates a single absolute championship (Scratch) with one overall classification that merges general and group results from each round. Events will limit entries to 60 drivers, with points awarded from the four top performances across the season. Each round allows up to three timed ascents, using the two best for final scoring.

The new Promosport category targets newcomers by allowing more affordable front-wheel-drive cars from Groups 1, 2, or 3. Eligible vehicles feature naturally aspirated engines, production dates up to December 31, 2002, road-homologated tyres, and conventional manual transmissions. Competitors in this division will receive dedicated rankings and trophies at every event and the year-end finale, prioritising skill over spending.

The ACA will relaunch its Joves Pilots programme, originally started around 2005 to develop local talent through training and support. Emerging drivers can contact the club for more information.

The calendar features five rounds on classic Andorran tracks, opening with consecutive events in Arinsal that score separately. The ACA’s Sports Commission confirms all official documents—including the full schedule and licensing types (restricted, national, and international)—are online at www.aca.ad.
