Andorra will gain a new UEFA international referee from the second half of the 2025-2026 football season, with Andreu Vilanova joining the European body's list of officials.
According to UEFA's arbitration roster, accessed by Diari d'Andorra, Vilanova will enter the Second category—the third tier among the organisation's 293 referees across Europe. This appointment restores the Andorran Football Federation (FAF) to two male international referees, pairing Vilanova with Antoine Chiaramonti, who earned the status in 2023.
The country also fields Marta San Juan as its sole female principal referee at the international level, also in the Second category. Several other Andorran officials hold international assistant roles, including Ainhoa Fernández, who was selected for last year's UEFA Women's Euro but withdrew due to a serious knee injury.
Vilanova himself became an international assistant referee in 2023 before advancing this year to principal referee status.
