Andorra la Vella council launched registrations on Monday, February 2, at 10am for around 375 spots in sports and leisure activities for children and youths during the Carnival school holidays from Tuesday, February 17, to Friday, February 20.
The programme, run by the Sports and Social Affairs departments in collaboration with local clubs and entities, includes eight sports camps offering 240 places for ages 5 to 16. These combine physical exercise, fun and educational values across multi-sports (35 places), padel, squash and swimming (30 places), futsal (30 places), rhythmic gymnastics (25 places), basketball (30 places), kung-fu (20 places), volleyball (30 places) and judo (40 places).
This year introduces priority access for two camps: multi-sports and padel, squash and swimming opened exclusively to children living in Andorra la Vella on February 2 at 10am, with registrations extending to other parishes on February 9. The six remaining camps—futsal, rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, kung-fu, volleyball and judo—accepted applications from all children nationwide starting February 2 at 10am.
Local residents qualify for a 29% discount by emailing incidencies.esports@comuandorra.ad in advance with the child's full name and CASS number. The council emphasises that discount approval does not secure a place, as spots fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can then register online via the council website or in person at the Sports and Social Affairs departments on Avinguda Príncep Benlloch 59.
The Social Affairs department also provides leisure options at El Llamp children's centre and Santa Coloma play centre for children born 2019-2023 (ages 3 to 7), with 135 places total—90 at El Llamp and 45 at the play centre. These four-day programmes cost €80, with the same resident discount available. Full details appear on the council's official channels.
