North Macedonia Beats Andorra 3-0 in Women's World Cup Qualifier

Andorra's women's national football team lost 3-0 to North Macedonia in Bitola on Friday, during the second matchday of the European qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup.

North Macedonia took control early at Petar Miloshevski Stadium, with Teona Galabovska opening the score in the 17th minute and Simona Meijer doubling the lead just three minutes later. Andorra sought a response before the break but failed to score. In the second half, the visitors advanced lines to chase a goal while containing attacks, yet Grozdanovska confirmed the victory in the 83rd minute.

Albert Panadero's side, coming off a 0-0 draw with group C3 leaders Hungary at Estadi Nacional on Tuesday, now has one point from two games. North Macedonia earned its first points after a 2-0 opening loss to Azerbaijan. Andorra remains goalless in the qualifiers.

Andorra lined up with Alba Martín in goal; defenders Paula da Silva (Olga Sabio 46'), Neus Rosas, Laia Solé, Laia Sin and Èlia Quílez (Emma Duró 84'); midfielders Chloe Izquierdo, Tere Morató and Ari Gonçalves (Gemma Lluch 58'); and forwards Clàudia Vendrell (Zoe Planagumà 46') and Maria Ruzafa (Cris Lacour 84').

North Macedonia fielded Panchurova in goal; defenders Paneska (Velichkova 90'), Petkova, Paneva (K. Petkova 90') and Nikolovska; midfielders Meijer (Nakova 90'), Galabovska and Markovska; and forwards Mustafa (Grozdanovska 53'), Boseska and Maksuti (Pavlovska 90'). Aleksandar Andov coached the hosts.

Welsh referee Charlotte Carpenter issued yellow cards to North Macedonia's Markovska, Paneva and Meijer, and to Andorra's Paula da Silva, Neus Rosas, Chloe Izquierdo and Cris Lacour.

Andorra's next fixtures are a mid-April double-header against Azerbaijan, starting at home on the 14th and away on the 18th.
