The Circuit Tennis Andorra season concludes this weekend with the Màster 2025 at Princiesport, bringing together 29 of the country’s top youth players across the Benjamí, Aleví, Infantil and Cadet categories, including a combined girls’ category for Infantil and Cadet.

Gerard Blasi, president of the Andorran Tennis Federation (FAT), described the Màster as “the reward for consistency and work throughout the season,” noting the event fields the six best-ranked players from each category. He added that, in the event of withdrawals through injury or illness, the next players in the rankings have been called up to keep the draws complete and preserve the competitive level.

The tournament uses a round‑robin format with two groups of three players in each category, which guarantees a minimum of two matches per participant and three for finalists. Matches are played in a fast‑forward format — sets to four games with a deciding super tiebreak if a match is tied — and some players may need to manage multiple matches in a single day.

FAT technical director Èric García said the format is “agile and ideal for an intensive weekend,” adding that the top-six fields produce “very even matches, high tempos and many close finishes.” He also stressed that managing several matches in one day forms part of the youngsters’ competitive development.

Blasi highlighted the growth of grassroots tennis in Andorra, saying the FAT reached some 70–80 youngsters who competed in at least one circuit event this season, a clear indicator that youth tennis continues to expand in the country. The Màster will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Princiesport facilities.
