FC Andorra Signs Andorran International Winger Aron Rodrigo for 2026-2027 Season

FC Andorra has finalized its first signing for the 2026-2027 season, with 21-year-old Andorran international winger Aron Rodrigo set to join the Tricolors as a free agent.

The deal, agreed upon as early as January according to reports, positions Rodrigo as a key addition ahead of the club's fourth year in professional football. Born in Lleida, the player—whose father, David Rodrigo, serves as general secretary of the Andorran Football Federation—currently plays for SD Osca's reserve team in Tercera RFEF. There, he has become a pivotal figure in their push for a Segunda RFEF promotion play-off spot. His contract with the Alto-Aragonese club expires on June 30, despite their efforts to renew it. Rodrigo, who turns 22 next year, is versatile across both flanks but excels on the left and is recovering from a recent injury in time for SD Osca's upcoming home game against Cariñena.

The signing underscores FC Andorra's commitment to nurturing local talent. Rodrigo will join compatriots like Berto Rosas, currently on loan at Logroñés, in bolstering the squad's Andorran representation. His career path includes stints at UE Bordeta in Lleida's Preferent Catalana as a cadet, Lleida Esportiu's youth setup, Atlètic Segre, a senior debut with Atlètic Alpicat in Segona Catalana, Europa's División de Honor juvenil, Binéfar in Tercera RFEF, and now two seasons at Osca. He earned his senior international debut for Andorra against Latvia in March last year.

Meanwhile, the club faces squad transitions, with eight players—Nico Ratti, Martí Vilà, Manu Nieto, Álvaro Martín, Théo Le Normand, Marc Cardona, Alberto Solís (on loan at Arenteiro), and Luismi Redondo (on loan at Cartagena)—also seeing contracts end on June 30. Eight others are due to return from loans: Berto Rosas, Aitor Uzkudun, Christos Almpanis, Juanda Fuentes, Iván Rodríguez, Bilal Achhiba, Jan Encuentra, and Javier Vicario.
