**Jordina Caminal secures career-best fourth place in Europa Cup downhill at St. Moritz**

Andorran skier Jordina Caminal claimed the best result of her career on Friday, finishing fourth in the second Europa Cup downhill race in St. Moritz. Her time of 1:33.76 placed her 0.87 seconds behind winner Leonie Zegg of Austria, with compatriot Anna Schilcher second and Italy's Sara Thaler third.

Starting with bib number 2, Caminal benefited from improving track conditions after earlier snow, completing her run under clear skies. The performance earned her 50 points, lifting her to seventh in the downhill standings with 72 points overall. It also marked the strongest showing by an Andorran in a Europa Cup speed event and boosted her FIS points to 31.08 from 45.78 upon arrival—and better than her 35.47 from the previous day's 12th place.

Caminal called it "the best result of my career," adding that the weather-challenged day gave her confidence after skiing the full course in sun. "My progression over these days has been very good, and finishing with this near-podium is really positive," she said.

She stayed close to the top 30 throughout early sectors, reaching 29th after the fourth, but lost ground in the final stretch, finishing just 0.42 seconds shy of points territory.

Moreno had shown promise in training, placing 39th on Thursday (1:45.17, 3.40 seconds off Sofia Goggia's pace) and 27th on Friday (1:43.72). The super-G follows on Sunday.
