Kostas Kostadinov, the 22-year-old Bulgarian forward-pivot, has signed with MoraBanc Andorra from La Laguna Tenerife through 2028, bringing athleticism, rebounding, dunks, and versatility to the frontcourt. The 2.04m prospect, formed in Real Madrid's youth ranks and eligible as locally trained, was presented Thursday at the club's headquarters.

Coach Joan Plaza praised Kostadinov as "more substantial than I expected," highlighting his one-on-one skills, rebounding load, defensive athleticism, and generosity. The arrival bolsters interior depth ahead of Sunday's away game against Casademont Zaragoza, a powerful side sitting 15th that excels in offensive rebounds and steals under Jesús Ramírez, featuring MVP Santiago Yusta and towering Khalifa Koumadje.

Kostadinov, born in Burgas and speaking Spanish with an Andalusian accent from his Madrid days, relished his first days despite adjusting to Andorra's altitude and cold. "They've welcomed me very well—teammates, coach, and staff—and I'm thrilled to play here," he said. Talks with ex-Tenerife teammates Jaime Fernández and Giorgi Shermadini tipped the scales. Limited to four games this season (3:45 minutes average) behind veterans like Shermadini, Fran Guerra, Tim Abromaitis, and Aaron Doornekamp, he seeks regular minutes. "I'm 22 and want to play. I didn't get much chance there, and it hurt, but I'll contribute far more here," he added, avoiding deeper critique of the "veteran-heavy" lineup.

He promised highlights: "I'll deliver plenty of dunks—I've been a jumper since I was young—plus physicality, offensive and defensive boards, and inside-out play wherever needed." On the squad, he noted: "It's talented, fast, strong, and competitive inside. The 4s and 5s are tough. We might lack a piece, but we can win a lot more from here."

General manager Francesc Solana called it a long-targeted move, recalling prior matchups like round two at Pavelló Toni Martí (8:07 minutes, 5 points) and his Primera FEB loan at Palencia. "He's complete, versatile across frontcourt spots, ambitious, and hungry to prove himself in ACB," Solana said. Bassas's departure enabled reshuffling amid a rebuild. While collective form is rising, some individuals like Best and McKoy fell short. Solana hinted at possible exterior tweaks, including a scoring guard, but emphasized current growth: "We're assessing to boost competitiveness—whatever improves us."
