Around 40 competitors raced in the 28th Pas de la Casa Night Time Hill Climb, a timed uphill ski event that returned after a two-year absence since 2023.

Organised by Club Pirinenc Andorrà, the race filled nearly the full entry limit of 50, which vice-president Roc Adrán called a major success given the late-season timing. "We're pleased with the good snow at the end of the season, letting people test themselves after training all winter—this was their final challenge," Adrán said.

The course followed the direct piste in Pas de la Casa, starting from the Coll Blanc chairlift base and climbing roughly alongside the lift line for 1.7 km with 420 metres of positive elevation gain. It proved fast and demanding under perfect conditions, with clear weather and excellent snow cover.

Younger categories U14 and U16 started at 6pm, followed by the rest at 6.30pm. World-class skier Nikola Matkova, who has raced in International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) events, was among the elite entrants, highlighting the competition's draw.

Encamp's economic reactivation councillor, Nino Marot, praised the revival. "It's a source of pride, with ideal conditions, great weather, and superb snow. We congratulate Club Pirinenc Andorrà, the federation, and all volunteers," he said.

After the finish, awards were presented at Pas de la Casa's sports centre, where participants enjoyed refreshments, prize draws for gear, and other surprises. Organisers hailed the strong turnout as a sign of renewed enthusiasm for the fixture.
