The 33rd Sant Silvestre in Sant Julià de Lòria will be held on Saturday 27 December 2025, moved from its traditional final-Friday slot and with start times brought forward by two hours. The baby category (ages 0–8) will start at 19:00, and the junior (9–17) and absolute (18+) races at 20:00.
Organisers have redesigned the route as a fully urban, approximately three-kilometre course with start and finish at Plaça de la Germandat. Instead of descending toward the river, the new course climbs to the upper part of town via Avinguda Verge de Canòlich to Borda del Jaile, returns through Avinguda Rocafort and Avinguda Francesc Cairat, passes Plaça Major and finishes back at Plaça de la Germandat. The baby category will run the usual short circuit of roughly 300 metres between Plaça Major and Plaça de la Germandat.
The Comú has opened registrations at a fee of €5, of which €2 will be donated to the parish Caritas. Up to 700 participant packs have been prepared for early registrants; each pack includes a Santa hat and a welcome gift. Organisers expect to exceed 600 participants and report notable interest from runners outside Andorra, particularly from the Basque Country, Madrid and Valencia.
Mobility services, police and civil protection will coordinate road arrangements to minimise disruption and ensure safety. Authorities say key lanes will remain open, with two lanes kept free at the country-entry roundabout to allow larger vehicles to pass while maintaining a lane for runners, and that overall traffic impact has been planned to be minimal.
The event will feature live entertainment, with cover band Els Senyora performing before, during and after the race, batucada percussion along the route and activities at Plaça de la Germandat. The traditional costume contest and post-race draws will be retained.
Prizes have been revamped to include items such as children's bicycles, electric scooters, a Garmin smartwatch and an iPhone. The Comú and the Sports Activities service present the race as one of the parish’s most emblematic and family-oriented events, aiming to make the course more accessible to residents across different parts of town.
