Cicland, Andorra's bike-sharing service, has logged 30,391 trips from January to July 2026, a 29.5% rise from the 23,469 recorded in the same period last year. The platform also drew 627 unique users over those months, surpassing 91% of the 686 total users for all of 2025.

The upward trajectory sharpened in recent months despite challenging winter conditions, including prolonged snow at mid-altitudes. Trips grew 1.5% year-on-year in January (3,097), reached 30.5% in March, climbed 43.6% in June, and surged 108.8% in July to 5,961. This builds on prior gains: 29,890 trips in 2023, 37,452 in 2024, and 41,873 in 2025.

Monthly active users mirrored the trend. January counted 247, up 19.3%; March had 290, a 31.8% increase; June recorded 340, rising 23.6%; and July peaked at 369, up 38.7%. Operators project nearing 1,000 unique users by year's end if momentum continues.

The 26-40 age group leads with 290 users, or 46.25% of the total, including 121 aged 26-30 and 169 aged 31-40. Riders aged 16-25, representing 20.9% of users, logged the most trips at 12,593, ahead of 12,184 by the older cohort.

With demand rising, Cicland seeks to expand stations and bikes—a key user priority—to improve parish connectivity and access. The company is pressing the government and communes to support this growth in shared mobility infrastructure.

Operators have bolstered internal systems for better reliability amid higher volumes. Vandalism remains isolated and minimal, but Cicland intends to request station surveillance cameras as a preventive step. The firm is also creating a "Cicland seal" to recognize businesses promoting sustainable travel patterns and further service adoption.
