13 Candidates Begin Training for Andorra Municipal Traffic Agents

Thirteen candidates have started the mandatory training course to become municipal traffic agents, as part of the programme's 15th intake.

The group, made up of ten men and three women, began the 176-hour course on Monday at the Centre de Formació al Llarg de la Vida in Andorra la Vella. Run by the Comissió Interparroquial dels Serveis de Circulació, the training mixes theory and practice across topics including legislation, procedures and responses, traffic management and mobility, handling incidents, conflict management, citizen services, defence techniques, and preventing and detecting gender-based violence—a module introduced last year.

This edition features a larger instructor team, with representatives from traffic services in Andorra's various parishes. Roger Fitè, Massana's menor cònsol and head of the interparochial commission's training committee, told the trainees that although they have spent months working as auxiliars in traffic departments, they now face a demanding period ahead to demonstrate their acquired knowledge.

The programme provides the technical, legal and operational expertise needed to perform the role effectively before trainees can join parish traffic teams. It is coordinated by the centre in partnership with the commission.
