Motorcyclist Injured in CG-2 Highway Collision Near Escaldes-Engordany

A 30-year-old man was injured in a collision between two cars on Carrer Baixada del Molí in Andorra la Vella just after midday Thursday. Police and emergency services responded to the alert at 12.56pm near number 7 on the street. Both vehicles had Andorran plates, and the man was a passenger in one of them. He was taken to Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital, where medical staff ran tests to assess his condition, according to health service sources.

Separate road incidents earlier in the week included a Tuesday evening motorcycle crash on Avinguda del Ravell in La Massana. A rider from Ordino lost control on a bend behind the Telecabina building, striking a kerb and lamppost. Authorities treated non-serious injuries at the scene.

Around the same period, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at a crosswalk near Pont de Paris, next to Avinguda Consell d'Europa in Andorra la Vella. SUM medical teams attended, but no further details on the person's condition have been released.

Over the weekend, a 35-year-old rider on an Andorran-registered motorcycle suffered minor injuries in a Friday night crash with a car at kilometre 1.7 on the CG-2 highway near Escaldes-Engordany, between the Engolasters roundabout and northern access. He received treatment on site.

Early Saturday in the Prada Ramon area of Escaldes-Engordany, a driver reversed into a traffic sign at the Joan Maragall and Bonaventura Riberaygua streets corner, toppling the pole before fleeing. Damage was reported to the property, with no injuries.

Another Saturday crash at 10.20pm on Comella road in Andorra la Vella injured a 62-year-old motorcyclist after colliding with an Andorran-registered car. No updates are available on the severity of his injuries.
