A 52-year-old man suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car with an Andorran plate at a pedestrian crossing on Avinguda Meritxell, directly in front of the Pyrénées shopping centre in Andorra la Vella, around 5pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services, including a police patrol and a fire department ambulance, responded immediately. Paramedics treated the victim on site before transferring him to Meritxell Hospital.
Police confirmed the incident occurred at number 26 on the avenue. About 15 minutes earlier, at roughly 4:45pm, a car and motorcycle collided at the CG-2 roundabout providing access to Carrer Mirador d'Encamp on the Encamp road. That crash caused only material damage but led to major northbound tailbacks in an area already disrupted by roadworks. Traffic slowed to a standstill in both directions during the response.
Authorities cleared both scenes, though delays persisted on the Encamp stretch. Investigations into the incidents continue, with no causes or further details disclosed.
