Andorra's tourist accommodation capacity fell to 42,201 places in 2025, down 1,500 from 43,731 the previous year, according to figures released this week by the Statistics Department.
The drop affected both overall places and bed numbers across categories. Hotel-style and classified tourist apartment establishments totalled 218, a reduction of one from 2024, offering 29,661 beds—a loss of 632 beds, or 2%, from 30,293. This marked the fourth consecutive annual decline, dipping below 30,000 beds for the first time in two decades and the lowest since records began in 2003.
Breakdown by type showed 163 hotels, 29 tourist apartments, 15 aparthotels, 8 hostels or residences, and 3 guesthouses. Bed losses concentrated in hotels (down 532), tourist apartments (down 86), guesthouses (down 50), and hostels or residences (down 24), offset slightly by a gain of 60 beds in aparthotels.
Capacity distribution by parish highlighted Canillo with 6,091 beds, Encamp at 5,823, Andorra la Vella at 5,578, La Massana at 4,824, and Escaldes-Engordany at 4,626. By star rating, 13,129 beds were in four-star properties, 10,527 in three-star, 3,565 in one- and two-star, and 2,124 in five-star.
Additionally, 165 other classified tourist accommodations included 107 tourist housing exploitation companies (EGHUT) managing 2,358 homes and 11,403 beds—down 264 homes from 2024. Other types comprised 17 rural lodgings, 28 mountain refuges (21 unguarded), 5 campsites, 6 youth hostels, 1 camping area, and 1 holiday colony.
