INNTEC Forums 10th Edition Concludes in Andorra, Spotlighting Society 5.0, Smart Mobility, and Health Tech

The 10th edition of the INNTEC forums, organized by ACTINN at the Andorra la Vella Congress Centre, wrapped up after two days with around 200 participants focusing on Society 5.0, smart mobility, and health innovations.

ACTINN director general Ignasi Martín outlined a future defined by hyperconnectivity, where everything will be linked and real-time data handling through big data and cloud systems drives better choices in areas like logistics and fleet operations—for instance, adjusting routes based on current traffic. He described AI's rise, including generative tools and chat assistants, as reshaping daily life from productivity boosts to emotional aid, making humans "technology-augmented." Martín rejected notions of an AI-driven profitability bubble or widespread job cuts, calling it a structural shift akin to the industrial revolution but far quicker. "It won't take our jobs; what will change are the functions," he said.

The event's conclusions stressed placing technology at the service of people to build a more inclusive, sustainable Society 5.0. Day one examined connected infrastructure, cloud, IoT, AI, and cybersecurity, plus smart mobility hurdles in mountainous areas like autonomous vehicles and drones. Day two tackled digital health, telemedicine, biotech, personalized medicine, silver economy prospects, and social innovation in care.

Opening speeches featured Andorra la Vella Síndic Major Sergi González, who insisted technology must serve people; Minister of Presidency, Economy, Work and Housing Conxita Marsol; and ACTINN president Albert Moles, who called innovation society's top resilience mechanism for business collaboration and growth.

Roundtables included one on urban services, logistics, and energy—using sensors for efficiency—moderated by Var Group Andorra country manager Andreu Tomàs, with contributions from the Catalunya Mobile association president. Another, on cloud, IoT, AI, and cybersecurity for connected systems, featured Var Group's Yobany Barbosa and SETAP 35 CTO Francesc Parrilla.

A key moment was the 2025 ACTINN Award to Blit Entertainment's "Virtual Reality for Wellbeing" project, aimed at elderly residents. It employs VR for therapy, global virtual trips, and immersion in early 20th-century modernism via art and architecture. CEO Marc Colomines said it brings cutting-edge tech to those with reduced mobility, letting them "travel the world" from their rooms and fostering companionship through visually compelling experiences that go beyond mere journeys. The company is negotiating rollout with the health ministry and seven parishes; Marsol, Colomines, and Moles handed over the award.

ACTINN hailed the debates as enriching and the atmosphere as highly engaging.
