Andbank Launches Financing for Pas de la Casa Bars to Comply with Terrace Ordinance

Andbank has launched a special financing line for bars and restaurants in Pas de la Casa required to modify their terraces to comply with a new ordinance approved by the Comú d’Encamp through an edict.

The measure aims to support local businesses, particularly those in Pas de la Casa facing recent challenges. Establishments in the area have seen a sharp drop in visitors and tourists due to fallout from a landslide in France and ongoing access difficulties. The municipal regulation now demands adjustments and investments to their outdoor spaces, adding further strain to the sector.

In response, Andbank is providing financing on favourable terms to ease compliance with the rules and sustain economic activity in the area. The offer targets all affected outlets, seeking to offset the financial burden of the required changes and promote orderly implementation of the ordinance.

Maria Suárez, Andbank’s director of Banca País, said the bank wants to stand by merchants and entrepreneurs during tough times. She described the financing line as evidence of the institution’s commitment to the region and the commercial sector, which plays a vital role in Andorra’s economy.
