Andorra Job Seekers Rise 9.3% to 259 in April 2026 Amid Falling Offers

Andorra's Employment Service recorded 259 job seekers at the end of April 2026, marking a 9.3% rise from March and a 5.7% increase compared to April 2025.

Job offers totalled 1,414 for the month, down 3.7% from the previous month and 27.7% lower than the prior year. New offers reached 438, up 34.4% monthly but 30.1% below last year's figure.

Demandants seeking better employment rose to 197, a 4.8% monthly gain from 188. Those requesting services while employed fell slightly to 72.

New registrations hit 94 job seekers, 23.7% more than March. The service facilitated six hires, down 62.5% from the prior month, while 12 secured temporary work placements and 41 found jobs independently.

Women made up 54.1% of job seekers, with the 40-59 age group the largest at 36.7%. Andorrans accounted for 48.3%, followed by Spaniards at 23.6%. Most—81.1%—had been unemployed for under six months, while 7.7% exceeded one year.

Unemployment benefit recipients climbed to 16, up 23.1% from March and 33.3% from April 2025, mostly women aged 40-59.

Seasonally adjusted data showed job seekers trending up 2.7%, with offers down 5.6% for the fourth straight month. The 12-month average stood at 240 seekers and 1,667 offers, below the previous period.
