Andorra Broadband Subscribers Hit 44,098 in May, Up 2.6% YoY

Andorra's broadband internet subscribers reached 44,098 in May, reflecting a 2.6% increase from the previous year, as reported in the latest telecommunications statistics from the Statistics Department.

The data highlights ongoing growth in connectivity. Across the first five months of 2026, average broadband subscriptions rose 2.8% year-on-year, from 43,097 to 44,323 users. Internet traffic totaled 14.16 million gigabytes for the month, up 3.5% from May 2025, with domestic traffic climbing 5.9% and international traffic up 2.5%. Mobile internet usage drove much of the expansion, surging 24.7% to 638,374 gigabytes.

Telephone services posted smaller gains. Fixed-line subscriptions increased 1.1% to 54,193, while mobile subscriptions grew 0.3% to 129,757. Voice call traffic, however, fell sharply to 9.19 million minutes—a 18.6% drop from the prior year. This included 7.22 million minutes of national calls (78.6% of the total, down 13.8%) and 1.97 million minutes of international calls (21.4% of the total, down 32.6%).

The Statistics Department attributes these patterns to a clear decline in traditional voice telephony, accompanied by steady growth in internet services—especially mobile data.
