Andorra Salaried Workers Hit 47,860 in April, Up 2.5% YoY

Andorra's number of salaried workers reached 47,860 in April, marking a 2.5% increase from the same month a year earlier, according to preliminary data released on Monday by the Department of Statistics. The total wage mass for the month stood at €134.85 million, up 6.9% year-on-year.

The average salary came in at €2,817.62, a 4.3% rise compared to April 2025, while the median salary was €2,196.79, reflecting a 3.1% gain. These figures highlight continued upward pressure on earnings amid moderate employment growth.

Finalised March data, also published Monday, showed 49,125 salaried workers, up 2.1% from March 2025 when the figure was 48,110. The wage mass for March totalled €142.12 million, a 7.3% increase. Agriculture, livestock, hunting and forestry led sectoral gains in wage mass at 21.6%, while public administration saw a 12.4% rise attributed to retroactive CPI adjustments and a 50% increase in pay scales.

Employment growth was strongest in electricity, gas and water production and distribution, up 12.5% year-on-year, and agriculture, livestock, hunting and forestry, up 10.3%. Hospitality recorded the sharpest decline, down 3.3%. Among major occupations, administrative secretaries and similar roles grew 7.6%, while waiters, bartenders and similar positions fell 3.1%.

CASS-declared data for March showed an average salary of €2,892.93, up 5.1%, with agriculture up 10.2% and construction up 9.8%. Financial services dipped 0.6%, and energy utilities fell 0.3%. The median salary was €2,223.09, a 4.9% increase, led by public administration and social security at 16.6% and construction at 11.9%.

From January to March, average salaried employment averaged 49,065, up 1.8%, with a monthly wage mass average of €135.85 million, up 7%. Over the past 12 months, employment averaged 46,275, up 2.6%, and the wage mass €125.88 million, up 7.3%. No sectors reported declines in these aggregates.
