Andorra Imports Rise 4.7% to €978M in H1 2026, Exports Up 5.2%

Andorra's trade showed solid growth in the first half of 2026, with imports boosted by transport, energy, and pharmaceuticals, while exports advanced led by transport and jewellery despite some category declines.

Andorra's imports rose by 4.7% in the first half of 2026, reaching €978.59 million compared to the same period last year, according to data released Thursday by the Department of Statistics. The figures cover international goods trade for June and provide a snapshot of the year's opening semester.

June imports alone totalled €175.73 million, up 8.6% from June 2025. Key growth areas included transport, which surged 23.3%; energy, up 36.3%; and pharmaceuticals and perfumery, increasing 14.7%. The "various" category bucked the trend with an 18.1% decline.

Over the first six months, strong performers were transport (up 11%), construction (29%), jewellery (32%), and various goods (10.8%). Declines were led by electronics (-6.3%) and beverages and tobacco (-7%).

The 12-month rolling total from July 2025 to June 2026 hit €2,041.78 million, a 8.1% increase from the prior year. Excluding energy, growth reached 8.9%, driven by transport (13.1%), construction (26.1%), various (15%), jewellery (21.6%), and industrial goods (7%).

Exports also grew over the semester, totalling €99.84 million, a 5.2% rise. Standouts included transport (20.2%) and jewellery (40.1%), though "various" fell 36.4%. June exports dipped to €16.98 million, down 7.3%, with transport up 59.8% but jewellery dropping 60.4%. The 12-month export total stood at €202.12 million, up 7.3%, led by transport (18.1%), electronics (9.4%), and jewellery (14.6%).

Seasonally adjusted data show imports growing just 0.2% month-on-month in June, with exports at 0.9%, indicating a slight softening trend in recent months.
