Andorra Imports Rise 4.7% to €979M in H1 2026, Led by Construction and Jewellery

Andorra's imports rose by 4.7% in the first half of 2026, reaching €978.59 million compared to the same period in 2025, according to data released Thursday by the Department of Statistics. The June figure alone stood at €175.73 million, up 8.6% from the previous year.
Strongest growth in the semester came from transport materials, which increased 11%, construction by 29%, jewellery by 32%, and miscellaneous goods by 10.8%. Electronics declined 6.3%, while beverages and tobacco fell 7%.
For June specifically, transport imports surged 23.3%, energy 36.3%, and pharmacy and perfumery 14.7%. Miscellaneous goods dropped 18.1%. Excluding energy, the monthly rise was 7.3%.
Over the past 12 months—from July 2025 to June 2026—imports totalled €2,041.78 million, a 8.1% increase from the prior period's €1,888.90 million. Without energy, growth reached 8.9%, led by transport (13.1%), construction (26.1%), miscellaneous (15%), jewellery (21.6%), and industrial goods (7%). Energy fell 2.2%.
Exports for the first half totalled €99.84 million, up 5.2% year-on-year. June exports were €16.98 million, down 7.3%, with transport rising 59.8% but jewellery dropping 60.4%. In the semester, transport grew 20.2% and jewellery 40.1%, offset by a 36.4% decline in miscellaneous.
The 12-month export total hit €202.12 million, up 7.3%, driven by transport (18.1%), electronics (9.4%), and jewellery (14.6%). Miscellaneous fell 18.3% and clothing and footwear 4.7%.
Seasonally adjusted data show imports growing just 0.2% in June, with exports up 0.9%, both indicating a softening trend over the last two months.
Fuel imports fell sharply in June to 9.63 million litres, down 18.5% from 11.8 million litres the year before. All categories declined: domestic fuel 25.8%, automotive diesel 18.4%, and unleaded petrol 14.9%. For the first half, fuel imports were 77.26 million litres, down 7.2%, and over 12 months, 157.99 million litres, a 4% drop.
