Andorran Business Confederation Awards Return for Sixth Edition on September 17

The Andorran Business Confederation (CEA) Awards will return on 17 September for their sixth edition since 2016, honouring talent, effort, innovation, and the economic and social impact of companies across the Principality. The gala, set at the Andorra la Vella Congress Centre in a formal dinner format as in the previous year, has become a key event for the local business community and aligns with the CEA's 20th anniversary.

CEA president Gerard Cadena, Jordi Playà—director of commercial banking at Creand Crèdit Andorrà—and CEA director Iago Andreu unveiled details on Thursday. The awards maintain ten categories, as in the last edition, split into seven open to submissions from any company, whether CEA members or not, and three chosen at the jury's discretion. Open categories typically draw five to ten applicants each, with around 200 attendees expected at the ceremony.

Open categories cover Trajectory, for firms with more than 25 years of sectoral experience; Sustainability; International Projection, backed by Andorra Business; Entrepreneurship and Innovation, supported by Andorra Recerca i Innovació and recognising novel contributions over the past two years; Inclusion, for companies with policies to hire workers with disabilities; Senior Management, for those prioritising employees over 50; and Freelancer or Microenterprise, targeting operations with at least three years' experience and no more than five staff.

Jury picks include Pioneers, for businesses with over 75 years in Andorra; Marca Andorra, which can go to a company or individual for positive contributions to the country; and the updated Women Entrepreneur Award. This evolves from last year's Equality Award to spotlight women in leadership and decision-making roles driving business projects.

Andreu explained that equality policies are now commonplace in larger Andorran firms, prompting the jury to shift focus to underrepresented female leadership. He added that the awards reflect a dynamic economy where companies play a key role in social issues. Further details on applications remain forthcoming.
