Andorra AR+I Launches Annexa’t Summer Placements for 9 Trainee Researchers

Andorra Recerca i Innovació (AR+I) has launched its summer training placements under the Annexa’t programme, welcoming nine students—either recent graduates or those nearing completion of their studies—as trainee researchers.

The participants are integrating into teams led by AR+I's senior researchers, focusing on areas such as sustainability, biological sciences, political analysis and sociology. During their summer stays, they will contribute to established projects or developing research lines, building practical expertise and gaining initial experience in applied research.

AR+I regards these placements as vital for inspiring scientific interests among youth and showcasing career prospects in research and innovation. The trainees engage directly with initiatives addressing Andorra's key challenges and opportunities, while exploring real-world professional applications.

Annexa’t seeks to link academic education with cutting-edge research and the Principality's economic and social priorities. Its offerings encompass internships, tutoring, applied research assistance, academic support and fellowships designed to open fresh professional avenues for local talent.

A notable fellowship, in partnership with Andorra Telecom and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), targets the urban and socioeconomic effects of the Node building in Andorra la Vella. The selection of the final candidate remains in progress.
