Andorra Residents Spent €93.4M on 177K Trips and Outings in 2025

Andorra residents undertook 177,465 trips and outings in 2025, with total spending falling to €93.4 million—a drop of €35 million from 2024—according to data released this week by the Department of Statistics.

The expenditure of €93,379,872 encompassed 43.3% overnight trips by 147,500 travellers and 56.7% day outings involving 179,696 participants. Trips averaged €1,254.05 in cost, while outings totalled €14.8 million at €146.85 each or €78.75 per person. Travellers stayed 641,591 nights away across all trips, averaging 8.35 nights per trip with 1.92 people per group. Accommodation expenses averaged €150.22 per night or €75.11 per person per night, and outings involved an average group size of 1.86.

Spain led destinations with 71.6% of trips and 91.9% of outings. Other nations took 15.1% of trips, France claimed 7.1% of trips and 8.1% of outings, and Portugal received 6.2%. Stays with family or friends accounted for 62.5% of trips, compared to 37.5% in hotels or similar. Cars handled 76.3% of trips, air travel 18.8%, buses 2.5%, ferries 1.3%, and rail 1.2%.

Leisure and holidays prompted 73% of trips and 37.2% of outings, family visits 25.6% of trips and 19.5% of outings, shopping 25.9% of outings, and medical care 0.6% of trips. Activity peaked in summer, with 41.4% of trips occurring from July to September (61,011 total) and 18,478 around Easter in April.

A new methodology prevents direct year-on-year comparisons, and officials have offered no explanation for the decline.
