Andorra Average Salary Hits €2,760 in May with 7.7% Rise

Andorra's Department of Statistics reports robust wage growth across all sectors. Salaried employment expanded, with retail trade and finance leading gains, pushing total wage mass to a record high.

Andorra's average monthly salary rose 7.7% in May to €2,760.46, according to semi-definite data published on Monday by the Department of Statistics. The median salary increased 5.2% year-on-year to €2,235.73, meaning half of salaried workers declared less than this figure. The most frequent salary range was €1,500 to €1,600, accounting for 5.4% of all salaried workers.

Retail trade recorded the biggest average salary gain at 14.5%, reaching €2,405.99, followed by motor vehicle sales and repair at 12.7% to €2,680.43. The financial sector had the highest average pay at €4,972.10, up 11.3%. Other top earners included electricity, gas and water production and distribution at €3,607.83, and public administration and social security at €3,381.25. Sectors with the lowest averages among those with high employment were households employing domestic staff at €1,936.45, agriculture at €2,000.11, and hospitality at €2,151.69. No sector saw a drop in average salaries.

The number of salaried workers reached 44,729, up 2.5% or 1,112 from May 2025. Agriculture, livestock, hunting and forestry grew fastest at 8.2%, followed by construction at 5.6%. Real estate and business services added the most jobs in absolute terms, gaining 332 workers to reach 8,075.

Total wage mass hit €123.47 million, a 10.4% rise from the previous year, with all sectors advancing. Retail trade and finance led with 15.4% increases each.

For the first five months of 2026, the average salary was €2,777.01, up 5.4%. The monthly average of salaried workers stood at 47,965, a 2.1% gain, lifting average wage mass to €133.20 million, up 7.6%.

Advance June figures point to continued growth, with 45,707 salaried workers (up 3.4%), wage mass of €126.89 million (up 8.4%), average salary of €2,776.18 (up 4.8%), and median of €2,235.29 (up 4.5%).
