The National Housing Institute (INH) has allocated 11 affordable rental apartments in the Font de Ferro building in Aixovall, though the building currently lacks an elevator while installation work proceeds.

Situated along the CG-1 in Sant Julià de Lòria parish, the units range from 45.56 to 67.16 square metres, with base monthly rents between €435.55 and €642.05, according to the edict in the Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA) published on Wednesday, 7 October. Ten standard apartments, sized 45.65 to 49.62 square metres, carry initial rents of €435.55 to €474.37. The largest, a 67.16-square-metre adapted ground-floor unit, is priced at €642.05.

The renovated properties, freshly painted and unfurnished, include kitchens equipped with ceramic hobs, ovens, and extractor hoods. They are ready for immediate occupancy, with three more units planned to complete the block. An adapted parking space on the site, reserved if needed for the ground-floor tenant with reduced mobility, costs €56.30 monthly and is subject to annual review based on consumer price index changes.

Those who expressed interest in public housing but were not preselected due to household composition or unit type will receive rejection notices. Appeals can be filed within 10 days, until 22 October, after which the housing ministry—or the INH by delegation—will finalise allocations.

Final rents will reflect the initial affordable base rate, adjusted upward if 30% of the household's income exceeds it, but capped at 25% below market value.
