Andorra Business, the public entity focused on economic development, plans to allocate nearly 39% of its 2026 budget—up to €1.022 million—directly to local companies through subsidies, capital transfers, and added-value services.
The proposed budget, currently under review by the Consell General, totals €2.632 million in balanced accounts, marking a 2.5% increase from the €2.568 million forecast for 2025. Supporting business internationalisation, professionalisation, digitalisation, and training remains the core priority.
Capital transfers to companies will rise 13% to €926,000. Internationalisation efforts, gaining added importance amid the association agreement, receive €475,550, or 19% of the total budget. This covers subsidies, trade fair accompaniment, and €66,000 for growth programmes.
Business training subsidies, ongoing since 2018, total €180,000 and will be awarded competitively based on priority sectors and high-impact projects benefiting both recipients and the national economy. The Growth programme, now in its fourth year, gets an extra €3,000 compared to last year, aiding 15 companies.
Economic diversification through innovation and priority sectors features up to €500,000 in aid for research and development projects to boost competitiveness and added value. Another €100,000 supports the Economy Ministry in advancing the national Innovation Strategy's innovation area.
Some areas see cuts: funding for the Andorra Esport Cluster drops from €40,000 to €30,000, while Andorra Health Destination—promoting the country as a health tourism hub—falls from €80,000 to €60,000.
In technology, Andorra Business will host its sixth pavilion at 4YFN during Barcelona's Mobile World Congress, showcasing eight to ten firms. Budget is also earmarked for group visits to events like IOT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona, South Summit in Madrid, Web Summit in Lisbon, and VivaTech in Paris.
Startup support expands with €126,000 for incubation, acceleration, and services for innovative entrepreneurs, plus €100,000 for the future innovation area's design. Up to €100,800 targets promotion of Andorra as an investment destination to materialise value-adding projects.
Personnel costs rise modestly by 1.9% to €759,288, reflecting projected inflation.
