Andorra's preliminary consumer price index (CPI) rose to 3.1% year-on-year in February 2026, marking a 0.5 percentage point increase from January's 2.6%, the Department of Statistics announced.

The acceleration stemmed mainly from price rises in food and non-alcoholic beverages, clothing and footwear, and miscellaneous goods and services. Communications and transport also played a smaller role in the annual uptick.

Month-to-month, the advance CPI climbed 0.5% from January, reversing the prior month's average 0.4% drop. The largest monthly contributions came from transport and miscellaneous goods and services.

This advance indicator draws on roughly 97% of February's prices, carrying forward uncollected data from January. Figures remain provisional and could shift when final data is released on 16 March.

Neighbouring countries showed more modest trends: Spain's preliminary annual CPI stayed at 2.3%, flat from January pending confirmation, while France's advanced estimate reached 1.0%, up 0.7 points from the previous month if validated.
