Ahmed Agharbi, the current owner of the crepe stand at Andorra la Vella's Rotonda, previously launched a business in 2017 with financial backing from the local council's youth entrepreneurship programme.
The initiative, known as Two Brothers, received support through subsidies provided by the Andorra la Vella comú to a total of 110 young entrepreneurs between 2009 and 2017. A promotional video released that year by the council's Youth Service highlights the project, in which Agharbi describes his plan to deliver "quality and the best price" through affordable items such as crepes, waffles, and ham and cheese baguettes priced at one euro each.
Agharbi, who speaks fluent Catalan in the footage, credited his idea to prior work experience where he felt "the worker is not valued." He noted that dealings with the comú and national government were straightforward, with the biggest challenge being securing a well-located, affordable premises.
The video underscores the council's role in fostering young business ventures during that period.
