Andorra's Finance Ministry has published edicts in the Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra (BOPA) to notify FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta Estruch and motorbike racer Maverick Viñales of proceedings related to international tax information exchange.

The State Secretariat for International Financial Affairs, led by Lorena Jordana, seeks to deliver one notice to Laporta and four to Viñales, who resided in the Principality for at least one season. The edicts, issued on Wednesday, follow routine procedures for individuals not easily located within Andorra.

Laporta and Viñales have 10 working days from publication to contact the secretariat directly and initiate the required actions. If they fail to respond, the notices will be deemed legally served the next day. Non-residents like Laporta, or Andorran nationals without a local address, must appoint a fiscal representative based in Andorra to handle all procedural steps, including the initial notification.

Once served, recipients have a further 10 working days to file a written opposition through the Tràmits service form, aiming to prevent the spontaneous exchange of fiscal data requested by a foreign state.

The ministry has not disclosed details of the notices' content. Officials confirmed Laporta's case arises from an international request, but provided no further specifics. Viñales faces a parallel process. Both now appear alongside others recently targeted in similar fiscal matters.
