Andorra Telecom has participated for the first time in the Andbus Solidari Forum, directing €4,785 to projects run by Assandca and AUTEA following a vote by its employees.
In the forum's second edition, the company presented details on ten NGO proposals. Over two months, 77 workers evaluated them and chose two recipients. Each organisation will receive €2,392.50.
Assandca, the Andorran Association Against Cancer, will use the funds for "El coixí del cor". Volunteers craft heart-shaped cushions that relieve pain, shield surgical areas, and offer physical and emotional aid to women recovering from breast cancer operations. The association then distributes them to those in need.
AUTEA, the Andorran Association for Autism Spectrum Disorder, will support "Reconnecta". Aimed at adults facing social exclusion risks, the initiative boosts wellbeing, rebuilds community ties, and cuts chances of isolation and suicide by aiding reintegration into everyday social and communal activities.
The move highlights Andorra Telecom's efforts to expand social engagement via private-sector links with NGOs. Andbus CEO Dani Vinseiro described having the company on board as "a privilege for us and the associations". He added that the Andbus Solidari initiative has gathered over €25,000 since starting, with a third edition set to fund more charitable work soon.
