  • Basic Movistar Plus+ rises 4.7% from €21 to €22.
  • Bars up 8.5% to €369; hotels jump 41% to €479 monthly.

Andorra Telecom will raise prices for its fibre-optic TV services from February billing, with private subscribers facing increases of €1-2 per month and public venues like bars and hotels seeing hikes of up to 41%, following rate changes imposed by content provider Movistar Plus+.

The updates, outlined in a notice published Wednesday in the *Boletín Oficial del Principat d'Andorra* (BOPA) and signed by director general Jordi Nadal, primarily affect individual customers. Most rises align with the projected consumer price index (IPC), though the basic Movistar Plus+ package increases by €1, from €21 to €22—a 4.7% rise above the average. Other packages seeing €1 hikes include Movistar Plus+ Ficción, Plus+ Deportes, and Ficción y Deportes. Those with two-euro increases cover Ficción y LaLiga, Ficción y Lliga de Campions, and the Total Plus bundle, which moves from €70 to €72. Some package redesigns may result in larger effective increases for certain users. All private TV services still require an active fibre internet subscription.

Public venue packages face steeper adjustments. Previously, bars and hotels paid a flat €340 monthly fee, mainly for sports content. From February, rates will split by category: bars rise €29 to €369 (8.5% increase), while hotels surge €139 to €479 (nearly 41% hike). Andorra Telecom attributes these to Movistar's new pricing policy, stating existing agreements leave no room for changes. Other business TV rates remain stable.

The operator describes the changes as essential to maintain service viability and content quality, including cinema, series, documentaries, original productions, and sports rights, amid Movistar's review. Customers can reach out via standard support channels for more information.
