Government fixes winter 2025–26 sales calendar with separate ski-equipment window

The Government has approved a decree setting the rules and timetable for the winter 2025–2026 sales season, fixing the general sales period from 26 December 2025 to 8 March 2026. The measure is framed as an effort to guarantee transparency, product quality and protection of consumer rights while projecting a reliable image for the retail sector.

Retailers specialising in winter‑sports equipment — principally skiing goods — are granted a separate discounted‑price window running from 6 February to 19 April 2026.

Private sales are limited to customers enrolled in retailers’ loyalty programmes and may be held only between 19 and 25 December 2025. Such offers must be communicated directly to registered clients and may not be advertised to the general public.

Merchants carrying out either general or private sales must respect the conditions established in the decree and comply with existing commercial legislation, acting in good faith and safeguarding consumers’ rights.
