The new eo! shopping centre in Andorra has taken a key step forward, with its first store opening to strong public interest.

Lacoste became the inaugural outlet on Friday morning, relocating from its long-standing spot on Avinguda Meritxell to a new premises on Carrer de na Maria Pla. Esteban, the store manager, described high expectations for the move. "We're excited about this change because it's a new commercial area with a brand-new shopping centre," he said.

Residents and tourists showed keen curiosity, many stopping by during the final setup stages and flocking to the opening. "There was a lot of interest because we're in a fresh zone; the centre is already very visible, and people have been very receptive," Esteban added. The team handled the relocation with support from Barcelona-based visuals experts and Pollyanna Andorra, Lacoste's official franchise partner.

The centre is still under development, but momentum is building. Other stores and outlets are slated to follow soon, though no firm dates have been set. E.Leclerc hypermarket has begun recruiting staff ahead of its transfer, planning to expand sections in the larger space. Viena bakery will move once its current lease ends, and a specialist wine shop is also in the pipeline.

The centre's underground car park has been operational since summer, offering space for around 800 vehicles. It features three entrances—on Carrer de la Unió and two on Carrer Sant Salvador—plus an exit on Carrer del Fener. Amenities include electric vehicle chargers, oversized parking spots, and spaces for people with reduced mobility or families.
