The median wage for October stood at €2,140.68, according to data from the Department of Statistics released Monday, an increase of 3.4% compared with October 2024. The number of salaried workers also rose, reaching 44,377 people, up 3.9% year‑on‑year.
The total wage bill experienced the strongest rise, increasing by more than €10 million—from €108 million in October 2024 to €118 million in October of this year—an almost 10% gain.
The average wage rose as well: on average, workers earned €140 more than in the same month last year.
