ENA and Teatre de l'Abast Hold Auditions for Physical Theatre Production in Andorra

The Escena Nacional d'Andorra (ENA), partnering with Valencia's Teatre de l'Abast, is holding auditions for performers in a new contemporary production set to debut on 14 November 2026 at Encamp's Ànima Festival.

The project focuses on physical theatre and object manipulation, shaped by a collaborative creative process that blends body movement with everyday items to produce a visually striking and poetic performance. It targets professionals aged 18 and above who have experience or enthusiasm for movement and body-based work, prioritising candidates with backgrounds in physical theatre, dance, object handling or complementary stage techniques.

Auditions will take place in person on 11 and 12 July, beginning at 09.30, at Massana's Sala dels Arcs. Successful applicants will take part in creation residencies and rehearsals from September through November, featuring an artistic residency at El Canal, Centre d'Arts Escèniques de Salt.

Teatre de l'Abast has built a reputation for exploring fresh scenic forms at the crossroads of physical theatre, dance, music and object manipulation. The company's works have appeared at venues and festivals throughout Spain, celebrated for their evocative imagery and poetic depth.

ENA launched the casting call via press release on 26 June, underscoring its commitment to contemporary works, cross-company collaborations and boundary-pushing stage expressions.
