Sant Julià de Lòria's Festa Major Unveils Mishima, La Fúmiga, Los Manolos Lineup

Sant Julià de Lòria's Festa Major, set for 24 to 28 July, will feature headline acts Mishima, La Fúmiga, and Los Manolos at Plaça de la Germandat, within a broad programme mixing music, traditions, family events, and cultural innovations.

Culture councillor Teresa Areny presented the line-up, backed by a budget of around 215,000 euros—matching last year's level through contributions from all municipal departments. She described the festival as more than a list of events, portraying it as a showcase of the parish's lively, inclusive spirit and deep-rooted heritage. Areny emphasised its role in drawing people outdoors to connect and build community ties, with a design ensuring appeal across generations. Most locals choose to celebrate in the parish, she noted, underlining its family ethos.

The central day falls on Monday 27 July. La Fúmiga performs at 8pm in its Andorran debut, part of the Valencian band's farewell tour before disbanding this autumn. Mishima follows at 11.30pm, supported by Bastoners de l'Esbart Laurèdia. An afternoon family concert by Mishima targets younger audiences, in line with previous acts such as Joan Pera and Blaumut. Los Manolos bring rumba on Sunday, attracting crowds of all ages. Friday opens with the international Raffaella Carrà tribute 'Hola Raffaella', plus covers from La Divand, La Noche 80era, and DJ sets running late.

Core traditions include the Passa procession—which packed streets last year—the Ball Cerdà, Ball de la Dama Blanca, Marratxa, sardana dances, and giants' parades, backed by Colla Laurediana via Ràdio Festa Major. Early evenings cater to seniors with ballroom and afternoon dances from Montgrins, Banda del Drac, and Sabor Sabor.

Fresh elements feature the 'Gran Gent' show by Jordi LP, Jocand's second showcase of new dramaturgy, and the 'Oasi' lounge gastro-area at Plaça Laurèdia with food trucks, live music, and DJs. Saturday 25 July marks the official opening of the revamped Plaça Calonge-Sant Antoni, timed for the 20th anniversary of its twinning with the Catalan locality, including a visit from their giants.

Youth and sports initiatives add a giant water slide on Carrer Carvajal de Hué, pétanque, kids' fluor parties, water gymkhanas, bike events, open pool access, and Tombs Creatius' Lilliput games. Inclusion continues with third-year 'quiet hours' via Autea: daily sound- and light-free periods at rides and on giants' routes for those with autism or sensory issues, including drum- and firework-free segments. The 'Oh My Got!' sustainability effort promotes reusable cups at bars, yielding sharp waste reductions, Areny said.
